POLKA DOT, the hidden meaning in a tattoo
in this short article of the section “PSICO DESIGN – the psychology of the drawings” we address the meaning and symbolism of the POLKA DOT from a mythical or primordial point of view, to apply it in the portrayal of the tattoo
Anyway, we speak of fairytales that make us dream, there’s no time for science here
The prefrontal cortex has no ground here, we move within the emotions of the limbic brain or the instinct of the reptilian brain
POLKA DOT is an element linked to childhood
everything that’s “baby” is with polka dots ^_^
it’s an immediate and instinctive link of our brain, it brings us back to a romantic childhood lived or dreamed
polka dots can be arranged in different ways, with an ordered and perfect geometric cadence, for example, making a rhombus or a square. This can brings us an image of a rigid, orderly, regulated childhood, perhaps outlined with a severe and traditional education
or they can be arranged in a chaotic way, without a clear order , even without regularity on the dimensions, randomly put without logic and in this case they refer to a sense of chaos or to an event that has changed the order into disorder
chaotic can simply be considered as different
also the shape of the polka dots can be imperfect, maybe not perfectly round or of the same size, maybe brushed and smeared. In this case you could think of an imperfect childhood, stained, but maybe artistic, with a positive meaning of the term imperfect
I love the idea of a baby stained with paint, smeared and imperfect
maybe because I was like that too ^_^
with love,
